"GO RED" During February 2010!

Did you know that 1 in 3 Americans has some form of cardiovascular disease claiming more lives than any other cause of death? Also, did you know some of the risk factors for heart disease are smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, overweight/obesity, physical inactivity, diabetes, a family history of early heart disease, and age? With the goal of raising awareness of heart health, February 2010 is designated as "GO RED" month at St. Joseph's Hospital (Highland). Along with St. Joseph's Hospital (Breese) and St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville (of which all 3 hospitals form the Southern Illinois Division of Hospital Sisters Health System), local residents can learn more about heart health through a variety of events being sponsored at all 3 hospital locations. Click here to learn more!
