Thanks to the St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, Highland area residents can purchase a commemorative brick from the old facility on Main Street!
Purchasing a brick can be an ideal way to reflect on your personal connection to the old hospital as a tangible keepsake of "days gone by" in Highland. It's the perfect symbol of the 136-year heritage the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis have established here.
A limited quantity of commemorative bricks preserved during the demolitionof the old SJH are now available for sale in the new SJH Gift Shop (12866 Troxler Avenue in Highland) from Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
How do I get a commemorative brick?
Orders for commemorative bricks can be placed in person in the SJH Gift Shop or by using the order form below. Two types are available: $10 (brick only) or $15 (brick with an engraved plaque denoting years of existence).
How are payments made?
- Payments (cash or check only) for the purchase of bricks in the Gift Shop must be made at the time the order is placed.
- Payments (check only) for orders placed through the form below must be sent to: St. Joseph's Hospital Commemorative Brick; ATTN: Penny Etter - People Services; 12866 Troxler Avenue; Highland, IL 62249.
- Online orders will be considered complete and processed only when payment has been received.
When will the bricks be available for pickup?
All commemorative bricks must be ordered in advance and can be picked up in person beginning Tuesday, July 8 and on subsequent Tuesdays during that month. No commemorative bricks will be sent through the U.S. Postal Service or through any other pubic or private mail/courier service.
