SJH Receives 5-Star Rating
HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital is one of only 251 hospitals nationwide to earn five stars in a rating system recently released in 2015 by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS created the Star Ratings in order to enable consumers to more quickly and easily assess the hospital patient experience of care information that is provided on its Hospital Compare website. 
 
SJH Honored with Quality Excellence Achievement Award
The Illinois Hospital Association honored HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, one of only five hospitals statewide, with a 2015 Quality Excellence Achievement Award. Carrie Erlinger, Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Risk Management, expresses the hospital’s pride and why it reflects their commitment to their Mission and this community. Top Performer Award
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital is recognized as a 2013 Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States. St. Joseph’s Hospital (SJH) was recognized as part of The Joint Commission’s 2014 annual report “America’s Hospitals: Improving Quality and Safety” for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance for Pneumonia and Surgical Care. SJH is one of 1,224 hospitals in the United States to achieve the 2013 Top Performer distinction. The Top Performer program recognizes hospitals for performance on evidence-based interventions that increase the chances of healthy outcomes for patients with certain conditions, including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care, children’s asthma, stroke, venous thromboembolism and perinatal care, as well as for inpatient psychiatric services and immunizations.
